Method 1: Changing Your PIN via Settings
- If you’re looking to enhance your security by changing your PIN on Windows 10, you can do so easily through the settings menu.
- Begin by pressing Win + I to open the Settings window.
- Once there, navigate to Accounts and select Sign-in options.
- Under the PIN (Windows Hello) section, you will find the option to Change.
- Upon clicking, you will be prompted to enter your current PIN. After verifying your identity, simply type in a new PIN of your choice and confirm it. Once you have set and confirmed the new PIN, click OK to save your changes. Your PIN is now updated!
Method 2: Resetting Your PIN if Forgotten
- In case you’ve forgotten your Windows 10 PIN, there’s no need to worry. You can reset it by following a straightforward process.
- Begin again by navigating to Settings, then go to Accounts and select Sign-in options.
- Under the PIN section, you’ll see a link that says I forgot my PIN.
- Click on it and follow the prompts to verify your identity using your Microsoft account password.
- After you have verified your identity, you can set a new PIN. Remember to confirm it before finalizing your changes.
