Understanding the Importance of a Voter ID Card
A voter ID card is an essential document that confirms your identity and eligibility to vote in elections. The National Voter’s Service Portal (NVSP) in India provides a convenient way for citizens to download their voter ID cards online. This guide will walk you through the process of obtaining your voter ID card digitally, making it easier for you to participate in the democratic process.
Steps to Download Your Voter ID Card
Follow these simple steps to download your voter ID card from the NVSP website:
- Visit the official NVSP website at nvsp.in.
- Click on Login/Register.
- If you are a new user, click on “Register“ and create an account using your mobile number and OTP.
- If you already have account, enter your mobile number, Password & captcha to login.
- Click on the ‘Download e-EPIC’ option available on the homepage.
- Enter your EPIC number (Voter ID number). Select your State.
- Once entered, click on ‘Search’ to locate your voter details.
- If your e-EPIC is available, Click on Download e-EPIC to get your digital Voter id card in PDF format.
Once downloaded, you can print your voter ID card or save it for future reference.
You can also download the e-EPIC through the Voter Helpline App:
- Download the Voter Helpline App from the Google Play Store or App store.
- Register and log in using your mobile number.
- Select the “Download e-EPIC” option.
- Enter your EPIC number & State and verify OTP.
- Download the e-EPIC in PDF format.
Eligibility to Download e-EPIC
- Only new Voter ID cards issued after November 2020 are available for download.
- If your Voter ID was issued before this period, you may need to update your mobile number at the local election office to download it.
