Applying Online for a Duplicate Voter ID

You can easily apply for a duplicate voter ID online through the National Voters’ Service Portal (NVSP) or your state’s Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) website. Here’s how:

  • Visit the NVSP Portal: Go to https://www.nvsp.in/.
  • Create an Account: Log in or register if you’re new.
  • Select the Correct Form: Choose “Form 8” for corrections and replacements, or “Form EPIC-002” if your voter ID is lost.
  • Fill in Your Details: Provide personal information like your name and address, adding your voter ID number if you have it.
  • Upload Required Documents: Provide proof of your address and identity (e.g., Aadhaar card, PAN card, recent photo).
  • Submit and Track: Submit the form, note the reference number for tracking.

The Election Commission will verify your application, and you will receive your new voter ID card by post after approval.

Applying Offline for a Duplicate Voter ID

If you prefer traditional methods, you can apply for a duplicate voter ID by visiting your local election office. Here are the steps:

  • Visit Your Local Office: Go to the nearest election commission office or meet with a Booth Level Officer (BLO).
  • Request the Application Form: Ask for Form EPIC-002 for a duplicate voter ID card.
  • Complete the Form: Fill in your personal details, then submit the form with necessary documents.

Once submitted, your details will be processed, and you’ll receive your duplicate voter ID accordingly.
